The Final Hour

The Final Hour has moved every year since it opened. Owner Kyle Walters’ family-run haunt opened in 2022 in a former CVS at 2300 Oddie Blvd, then moved to Brierley Way for 2023, the old Sears space at Meadowood Mall for 2024, and a Deming Way warehouse for 2025. For 2026 it’s back on Oddie Boulevard at 2350 Oddie, a short walk from where it started, and billed at 25,000 square feet. The new home puts it in the middle of an accidental haunt row: BooVille and Macabre Manor at 2300 Oddie and The Generator’s haunted mini-golf at 2450. It runs until midnight on haunt nights, the latest show in the Reno area.

The theming leans hard into slasher-movie territory. Reviewers name-drop Art the Clown, and last season’s walkthrough built to a chainsaw finale that sent most groups out the exit at a sprint. One Google reviewer called the cast “phenomenal,” and that tracks with the haunt’s reputation: it’s an actor-driven show more than an animatronic showcase.

Reviewers say the timed slots have run behind on busy nights, so Thursdays are the easier trip. It holds a 4.6 Google rating across 52 reviews, and the crew now exports the formula: its new sister haunt, Tahoe Terror, opened this season inside Bally’s Lake Tahoe.
