The Reno Halloween Calendar 2026: Every Date That Matters
Dark Prison opens September 25. The Zombie Crawl hits October 17. Home haunts light up the last week of October. Every confirmed 2026 date, plus the ones still pending.
This is the master calendar for Halloween 2026 in the Reno area. Confirmed dates are marked; everything else shows its usual window and gets updated the moment an announcement drops.
Confirmed for 2026
September 25 through November 1: Dark Prison. The area’s top-rated haunt has already posted its season. Timed entry, Thursday through Saturday plus late-October Sundays, inside the former Nevada State Prison in Carson City. Weekend nights will sell out; the two Saturdays before Halloween always do.
Saturday, October 17: Reno Zombie Crawl. Twenty thousand zombies, 40+ downtown bars, 8 pm to 2 am, 21 and up. Locked and announced.
Silver Raven’s 20th “AnniverSCARY.” The Silver Raven Haunted House has announced its 2026 theme; exact nights typically land in late October with a scare-free Kids Night first.
Usual windows, dates pending
Late September: Corn Creepers opens with Andelin Family Farm’s fall festival (the festival’s 17th season). Haunt nights run Thursday through Saturday, 7 to 10 pm. The farm’s Sunflower Festival starts August 19, if you want the wholesome preview.
Early October: The Final Hour typically runs October 2 through 31, Thursday through Saturday, 8 pm to midnight, the latest closing time in the area.
Mid-October: BooVille + Macabre Manor ran October 16 through November 1 last season, select nights.
Mid-to-late October: Haunted Mini-Golf at The Generator, Friday through Sunday.
The final week of October: home haunt season. The Ambush traditionally runs the last six nights of October with a mid-week Kids Night. Britt’s Wicked Manor’s display goes up weeks earlier and runs nightly. Deadwood Manor posts its nights on its socials.
Halloween weekend: Virginia City. The V&T Haunted Graveyard Train ran October 31 and November 1 last year, and the Mackay Mansion’s Victorian Nightmare runs select late-October nights. Hauntober brings the costume parade to C Street on Halloween itself.
How to plan it
The pattern that works: professional haunts in early-to-mid October while lines are short, the Zombie Crawl on the 17th if you’re 21+, home haunts the final week when they open, and Halloween night itself for the graveyard train or Dark Prison’s closing weekend. Spreading it out beats cramming everything into the last weekend, which is what everyone else does.
