The 2026 Reno Haunted House Guide: Every Haunt, Ranked

Everything opening in the Reno area this season, what it costs, how scary it actually is, and which haunt fits your crew. Updated as dates are announced.

The 2026 season is open. Dark Prison opened September 25, the corn is already screaming in Sparks, and the map grew: a new casino haunt at the lake and a $15 killer clown corn maze. Here’s the complete picture, updated September 28 with confirmed dates and current prices.

Two haunts are unranked for now because they don’t have 25 Google reviews yet: Tahoe Terror (Stateline), which is brand new this season, and BooVille + Macabre Manor (Sparks), whose venue listing has 19.

The season at a glance

Dark Prison runs 19 nights, September 25 through November 1, on timed entry slots: 6:30 to 10 pm most nights, 6 to 11:30 pm on peak Saturdays. The Haunted Attraction Association named it to its Iconic (Platinum) list for the second year straight. GA is $34.95 in advance for all three haunts and Yard access ($49.95 at the gate), and pricing is dynamic. Allow extra time for queues, which the operator says can reach an hour.

The new stuff: Tahoe Terror opens October 2 inside Bally’s Lake Tahoe, from The Final Hour’s crew ($28 online). The Killer Clown Corn Maze runs October weekend nights at Ferrari Farms, $15 for adults. And Oddie Boulevard in Sparks accidentally became haunt row: The Final Hour (new, bigger location at 2350), BooVille + Macabre Manor (moved from Reno to 2300), and the Generator’s haunted mini-golf at 2450, three attractions on one street.

The Reno Zombie Crawl is locked for Saturday, October 17: twenty thousand zombies, 40+ downtown bars, 21 and up. The $15 cup tier is on sale now.

Silver Raven Haunted House, the free charity home haunt in Sparks, is confirmed back for its 20th “AnniverSCARY,” dates posting from October 1. The full day-by-day rundown lives on the 2026 calendar, and every current price sits in the price guide.

Pick your haunt by the night you want

You want three haunts in one night: Dark Prison. Three haunts in the old cellblocks plus a yard with food trucks, fire pits, and a 21+ bar, all on a $34.95 advance ticket. Plan on a whole evening.

You’re bringing someone who scares easy: Corn Creepers. It’s a real haunt in real corn, but the farm sells a glow necklace that tells actors to go easy, and the daytime festival is a soft landing for the rest of the family. $18.50 to $33.50 by night for the rest of the season, with the farm’s other attractions ticketed separately.

You want scares on a budget, late at night: The Final Hour at its new Oddie Boulevard home. $35 online, open until midnight, slasher energy. Thursdays run smoother than Saturdays.

You want the cheapest real scare in town: the Killer Clown Corn Maze, fifteen dollars (ten for kids 10 and under) for five acres of hand-cut corn and clowns.

You want a destination night: Tahoe Terror at Bally’s Lake Tahoe, the first real haunt South Shore has ever had. An hour and a quarter each way, worth it on novelty alone, and Halloween night runs late.

Kids in the group: BooVille does indoor trick-or-treating for the littles while Macabre Manor handles the older kids. The V&T Haunted Graveyard Train and haunted mini-golf at The Generator are zero-trauma crowd-pleasers.

Zero dollars: Reno’s home haunts are legitimately great, and the big ones raise money for the children’s cancer foundation and the food bank. Go, be scared, donate what a ticket would’ve cost.

The one-day Virginia City run

Drive up the hill on a Saturday: Washoe Club ghost tour in the afternoon, dinner on C Street, then either the Mackay Mansion’s Victorian Nightmare or the graveyard train after dark, and you’re back in Reno by 10 pm with time for a nightcap. Nevada does Halloween better than almost anywhere, and this is the proof loop.
